On Sept. 18 Lindenhurst students and student-athletes gathered at Lindenhurst Middle School for the Christina Renna Walkathon, an event that raises funds for childhood cancer research.

Christina Renna is a former Lindenhurst student who passed from childhood cancer several years ago. The Renna family hosts this annual walk as a fundraiser where Lindenhurst students and athletes collect and make donations for childhood cancer research through Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
