West Gates Students Raise Over $12,000 for the American Heart Association

Students and staff at West Gates Elementary School showed tremendous heart this February through their fundraising efforts for the American Heart Association. As a school community, West Gates raised more than $12,000 in support of the organization’s mission to promote heart health and lifesaving research.
Throughout the month, students also made a personal commitment to live a “heart healthy” lifestyle by focusing on exercise, nutrition, and kindness. In physical education classes, students participated in a variety of fun games and activities designed to keep their hearts strong while promoting teamwork and positive habits that can last a lifetime.
The West Gates community is incredibly proud of the students who stepped up as Heart Heroes, leading the way with their fundraising efforts and enthusiasm for making a difference.
