As a service to the community members of the Lindenhurst Union Free School District, the district permits notices and flyers to be shared online via the Community Backpack on the district website.

The district is eager to cooperate with various non-profit or not-for-profit organizations in sharing information relating to activities, events, programs, and other opportunities of interest to students and their families.

With advanced approval from the Superintendent of Schools or the Superintendent’s designee, a flyer will be added to the Community Backpack. The school district will notify the agency/organization of approval or disapproval and reserves the right to deny posting to the Community Backpack.

The district neither encourages nor discourages a student’s participation in activities, events, or programs featured in the Community Backpack.

The Community Backpack is maintained by the district as a community service. Please note that the district is not responsible for event registration or for verifying the accuracy or currency of the items posted. All items in the Community Backpack will be removed at the end of each school year.
