Recently, the Daniel St student council donated $1500 to "Friends of Karen", a charitable organization dedicated to providing support to families of children with life-threatening illnesses by way of financial aid and social services. The students crafted and sold friendship bracelets to raise the funds. Friends of Karen was chosen by the students when they heard that the family of a Daniel St. teacher had a terminally ill child and was helped greatly by Friends of Karen. Just another example of #LindyPROUD!

Friends of Karen Regional Director Leslie A. Bellissimo was on hand to thank the students and explain how the donation would be used, how it would help families hearing the terrible news that their child has a life-threatening illness, and celebrate their kindness.

Proud advisors Victoria Cacciopo, Maureen Benson, Principal Dr. Jennifer Deuidicibus, and Assistant Principal Dr. Tracy Pignetti joined the students for the donation.
