Lindenhurst High School Business students have been very busy over the last few weeks!

Lindenhurst High School Business students have been very busy over the last few weeks! Students in Business 101 recently spent some time on Wall Street, hearing stories from the Trading Floor from former traders, and more recently received a Certificate of Completion Award for completing the Workforce Readiness Program: Virtual Human Resources Assistant Program (VHR).
While meandering the narrow, winding streets of Lower Manhattan, students & chaperones from the High School Business Department attended The Wall Street Experience in downtown Manhattan. Students learned exclusive stories from former traders who shared their prior experiences on the trading floor. Students also participated in a trading game that simulates a trading floor environment! A great learning experience for everyone!
Additionally, Congratulations to students in Mr. Cullen & Mrs. Murnane’s Business 101 Classes who recently
received a Certificate of Completion Award for completing the Workforce Readiness Program: Virtual
Human Resources Assistant Program (VHR). The Virtual Human Resources Assistant Program is a
Pinnacle Awardwinning Program designed for High School Students to explore the field of Human
Resources. This program is twofold: students learn about the Human Resources profession and at the
same time preparing for job interviews, writing resumes and completing job applications.
Business 101 class is a course that is part of the Lindenhurst High School Business Pathway which
recognizes those students that have completed a minimum of 3 1⁄2 Business course credits during
their High School career. These students receive an additional seal of completion upon graduation.
This designated seal signifies that students have a strong understanding of the Business world and is
prepared to face challenges upon entering the Business world.
