Resources and Information - COVID-19

THE NEW YORK STATE GOVERNOR HAS MANDATED THAT ALL NY SCHOOLS CLOSE UNTIL APRIL 15. UNLESS TOLD OTHERWISE BY THE GOVERNOR, THE DISTRICT SPRING RECESS WILL BE FROM APRIL 9 - APRIL 17. THEREFORE THE FIRST DAY BACK IN LINDENHURST SHOULD BE MONDAY, APRIL 20.

We have recently received guidance from the Governor’s Executive Order and the State Education Department that “districts must continue to provide remote instruction for students, meals for students, and child care for essential workers every weekday between April 1, 2020 and April 14, 2020, even if the district is scheduled to be on spring break during that time.”

Each teacher will be responsible for emailing parents/students to provide information regarding the programs, lessons and alternate methods of instruction they plan to use.

For this reason, it is imperative that you log onto the Parent Portal and confirm that your contact information is up to date.

Once the district is aware of when it can resume normal activities, your child's home school will communicate the updated screening schedule.
