School Lunch Program

Please be advised that the start of the 2018-19 school year will see a change in the application process for free and reduced meals within the Lindenhurst Union Free School District.

To provide the most cost-effective services to the community and simplify the process, the district has made the decision to utilize the free MySchoolApps service. The app guides parents through the application process and confirms that all the necessary information has been provided before it’s submitted. Please note that only applications submitted through the app will be reviewed. No paper applications will be accepted.

The cost savings are not the only benefit, however. Parents will appreciate the convenience of being able to apply for free and reduced meals securely, from anywhere, using any device that is connected to the Internet. Additionally, the MySchoolApps service accommodates users who are fluent in English and Spanish.

If you wish to apply for free and reduced meals and do not have access to the Internet or a facility which offers Internet usage, such as a local library, MySchoolApps kiosks will be made available at the McKenna Administration Building, located at 350 Daniel Street, and the main office of the Lindenhurst Senior High School, located at 300 Charles Street in Lindenhurst from August 16,2018 through August 31st, 2018 between 7:45am and 12:45pm Monday through Friday.

Beginning September 4th, 2018 the Kiosks will be available for use at the McKenna Administration Building from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday. The High School Kiosks will be available for use from 7am to 2:50pm Monday through Friday.

If you have any questions regarding the MySchoolApps service or use of a kiosk, please contact Michele Claud in the high school main office at 631-867-3704.
