Chromebook Initiative

For students to become college- and career-ready in the 21st century, it is imperative that they are provided with opportunities to explore and utilize online resources using modern technology.

It is with this thought in mind that the district began the implementation of the “Chromebook Initiative,” giving students access to Acer touchscreen Chromebook devices in the classroom, and in some cases, in the home.

Below you will find documents and additional information pertaining to the district’s Chromebook Initiative as well as the sixth-grade 1:1 Initiative.

If your student is a part of the sixth-grade 1:1 Initiative and you wish to discuss any technical concerns you may have, please contact your student’s classroom teacher at the middle school. (During summer session, those concerns could be addressed to the middle school main office at 631-867-3500.)

If you have questions regarding the district’s Chromebook Initiative or the sixth-grade 1:1 Initiative, please contact Jennifer Freedman, Coordinator of Instructional Technology and Library Media Specialists at 631-867-3080.
