The School District reserves the right to delay the opening of or to close schools at any time due to inclement weather, or a failure in the power and/or heating systems of the schools. Delayed openings or early dismissals shall occur only in an extreme emergency. Parents should make alternative arrangements in the event that this procedure becomes necessary.
We suggest that on days where you can anticipate difficulties in transportation because of weather, you check the news ticker on the home page of this web site, or listen to the local radio stations listed above for information concerning changes in the normal school hours.
Under any circumstance, the decision as to whether or not your child should be sent to school, even when transportation is available, must be made by the parents.
