Walk for a Cure
EVENT RESCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 14TH
Calling all who enjoy fun with the family, saving people’s lives, and walking for a cause; this event is for you! On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, the Lindenhurst Middle School’s Gifted & Talented students along with Sydney Kalish are hosting a JDRF Kids Walk for juvenile diabetes.
Juvenile diabetes is an incurable disease that children are born with. In 1975, parents of children with juvenile diabetes founded JDRF to conduct research with hopes to find a cure. Their quest continues.
All members of Lindenhurst Schools: students, faculty, staff, parents, board members and administration are encouraged to participate in this charitable event. The walk is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Middle School Track and Field. Even if you are unable to attend the event, your donation will be greatly appreciated. You can make donations online at:
